Dunkeld State School is a co-educational, one-teacher school which offers levels Prep to Year 6. The school is situated 70 kilometres from the nearest town of Mitchell on the Saint George Road. Students travel from properties in the surrounding areas. The Dunkeld district’s economic focus is mainly beef, goat and sheep production. Our small school is situated next to the Dunkeld golf club and the Dunkeld pony club.
The school was officially opened in 1967. The current enrolment for the school is eight.
Our programs focus on individual learning needs and believe students learn best when they are safe, happy and achieve.
